- Kuwait

The Radisson SAS Hotel played host to Masiya
and Sun's Desktop Virtualization seminar, which was
held at the beachside property on March 25th to an
audience of key decision-makers from some of the
country's leading businesses.
The half-day function comes as part of a
virtualization road show across the region, aimed at
introducing and promoting a variety of Sun products
within the Kuwait market, most significant of which
are the Thin Client, Blade servers and storage.
The event sought to accentuate a handful of
innovative products and solutions, and to
familiarize prospective customers with the tools and
features offered by each. An adjacent demo area was
allocated to allow the audience some live, hands-on
experience and an opportunity to interact directly
with the showcased application(s).
Mr. Ahmed Al-Ozairi - Masiya's CEO – delivered the
opening welcome statement; followed by a
presentation outlining the company's evolution, an
overview of its scope of services and most notable
achievements.
Sun's Mr. Basil Ayass – X64 Sales Specialist – then
went on to elaborate on the definition, aspects and
different environments of virtualization;
specifically highlighting the significance of
SunRays in some vital business sectors such as
banking, investment and education. Mr. Ayass also
commended Masiya's successful and effective
integration of the Thin Client and their IP
Telephony system.
As summed up by Samir Abou-Zarqa, Masiya's Executive
Account Manager, "This is a unique opportunity to do
away with an outdated conviction long held by some,
that Sun is merely a 'box' provider company. Today
we can validate to our customers that as partners,
Masiya and Sun can provide more customized,
adaptable and advanced solutions."
