Masiya Completes IT Infrastructure Migration at FASTtelco

The technical team at Masiya have yet another memorable accomplishment to add to their expanding list of successful ventures and projects; their successful launching of the migration project at FASTtelco, which was concluded with the completion of the mail system migration.

The project involved migrating most of the functioning services (billing, web hosting, access server and domain name servers) from old to new equipment, as well as upgrading FASTtelco's mail services, which constituted the final stage of this project.

"This project can be ranked as one of the most sizeable and demanding IT jobs executed by Masiya." stated Mr. Anas Aburshaid, the company's Technical Manager. "It is a milestone for us in that it is our first migration in an ISP environment."

The mail services went live on the night of Saturday, 15th March 2008, and since then only a few calls have been logged with the company's Help Desk, indicating a smoothly running operation and a quality, stable system.

According to Mr. Omar Kaaki – FASTtelco's General Manager - "We had genuine apprehensions to a smooth migration of messaging system, but the dedicated efforts and effectiveness of execution by Masiya proved us wrong."

The mail system enables FASTtelco to host mail domains, and was completed by utilizing the Java Enterprise System. This is an intricate and challenging application that Masiya has acquired through its partnership with Sun, and which the specialized personnel have duly mastered.

The solution was wholly designed and implemented by Masiya's technical staff, who yet again demonstrated an impressive deal of skill and capability during the course of this assignment.

It is also worth noting here that close to 100% of server infrastructure at FASTtelco is supplied, installed and maintained by Masiya.
